San Miguel Community Services District has five Board of Directors. The next election is on November 3rd, 2026.

There are two (2) available seats with a four-year term, beginning in December 2026 and ending in December 2030. There is one (1) available seat that will carry a two-year term due to the late Director John Green's passing in November 2025. The individual elected to fill that vacant position will serve a two-year term beginning December 2026 and ending December 2028.

The Candidates must be at least 18 years old, registered voters and reside within the District boundaries. Board Members are not required to have experience related to district services, but are expected to prepare for Board Meetings, review meeting materials, and work with other board members, district staff, and residents.

The nomination period for "Declaration Of Candidacy Forms" runs from July 13th, 2026 to August 7th, 2026. Interested candidates must call the County of San Luis Obispo Elections Office at 805-781-5228 to schedule an appointment to obtain nomination papers

San Miguel CSD participates in the SLO County Consolidated election process.
