Director Ashley Sangster

Appointed January 2018

I grew up in Huntington Beach California (Surf City USA) and spent most of my life there. A great opportunity to work for Cal Poly prompted my move to San Miguel in early 2017. I appreciate the small town feel and sense of community you get when out in town. I truly felt immediately at home in San Miguel and quickly took an interest in the inner workings of the community by attending a CSD Board meeting my first month in residence.

Having been appointed to the San Miguel Community Board of Directors in January 2018, it has been my privilege to serve and support the community of San Miguel.

I have many years of experience in several industries covering both private and public sectors. My current profession is in the public sector, and given my role in public purchase, I have experience with State and County operations, and finances. I believe my experience and skills are an asset to the community as a whole. I believe in accountability, transparency and fiscal responsibility.

Beyond my professional experience, I would like to utilize my life and work experience to benefit the community of San Miguel. I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of making our community better and planting the seeds for future growth and prosperity. I’m happy and proud to call San Miguel my home and look forward to continued service for the community as well.
